Photo and Video Requests
On-campus organizations can request photo and/or video assistance by filling out the . Filling out the form does not guarantee coverage, but we will do all we can to help.
Aquinas Photo Library
The college maintains an that can be browsed and searched. (It's commonly called Photoshelter.) If you have permission, you can download images. Not all images are visible to all users. Photography Permits and Policies
Aquinas has a beautiful campus, and it's often the backdrop for professional-grade photos and videos. Please check out the campus photography policy to get started.
Photo Usage Rights
All photographs and video taken by the ÂÌñÒùÆÞ Marketing and Communications Department or outside photographers hired to photograph for ÂÌñÒùÆÞ photo and video shoots or events remain the property of ÂÌñÒùÆÞ. Aquinas shall have the irrevocable, non-exclusive right to exercise any and all rights granted by the United States Copyright Act, including, but not limited to, the right to reproduce, display, distribute, and transmit the Work throughout the world, in any media now known or later developed, and to create derivative works.
Photo Releases
Photos and video taken in public places, for purposes of news or general information, do not require photo releases. Photos and video used to advertise products or services of the university may not require releases when the focus of the photo or video is a location or event, not a person.
When an individual's face is featured in a way that is clearly recognizable and appears to endorse ÂÌñÒùÆÞ, the best practice is to obtain a signed release from the Marketing and Communications Department. Staff may obtain and store releases over and above these guidelines if they feel it is in their best interest.
Internet Photos and Video
You should not assume that photos and video found on the internet (including those indexed by Google Images) are free to use. Do not use ÂÌñÒùÆÞ photos and video found on the Internet unless you have received permission from ÂÌñÒùÆÞ.
Photo Requests from Outside the College
External media outlets, businesses and others who request permission to use Aquinas
College photos and video may do by requesting permission from the ÂÌñÒùÆÞ Marketing and Communications Department. ÂÌñÒùÆÞ photography and video is the property of ÂÌñÒùÆÞ and should
be credited with the college name as shown:
