Grand Rapids, Mich. Brann's Steakhouse and Grille and ÂÌñÒùÆÞ will host the
third annual Brann's/Aquinas Charity Basketball Shootout on Friday, December 12 and
Saturday, December 13 at the ÂÌñÒùÆÞ Fieldhouse. Toys for Tots will once again
be the selected charity of choice.
One new toy, of a non-violent nature, in original packaging and not holiday wrapped is good for two admissions. Admission for a one-day pass is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students. Tickets may also be obtained by dropping your toys off at any of the Brann's locations in Grand Rapids.
Brann's Steakhouse and Grille, a locally owned and operated company, has seven locations in West Michigan and one restaurant in the Detroit area. All locations will be a drop-off location for Toys for Tots throughout the holiday season.
All proceeds from this two-day tournament will benefit the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots charity program. Created in 1947 and expanded nationwide in 1948, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program conducts toy collection and distribution campaigns each year to bring the joy of Christmas to needy children throughout the nation. From 1947 - 2002, U.S. Marines distributed more than 298 million toys to more than 145 million needy children.
