About Dr. Terry Keller

ñ is thrilled to announce the homecoming of Dr. Terry M. Keller as its new Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Keller returns to Aquinas after a distinguished career in higher education, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the College's mission.

Since 2011, Dr. Keller held key leadership positions at Lourdes University, including Interim President and most recently Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost.

A Longstanding Relationship with ñ

Dr. Keller is no stranger to ñ. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology-Communication in 2001 and later served in Student Affairs as well as Adjunct Faculty for eight years. This experience positions him to seamlessly reintegrate into the Aquinas community and contribute significantly to its future.

Leading Aquinas Through Change and Opportunity

Dr. Keller joins Aquinas at a pivotal moment. As the chief academic officer, he will play a crucial role in shaping the College's strategic direction. He will work collaboratively with faculty and the senior leadership team including President Alicia Córdoba DMA to develop an innovative academic vision, ensure a strong student experience, and achieve critical College outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead collaborative efforts to build an academic vision that fosters program development and enrollment growth.
  • Foster a transparent and trusting communication environment within the College.
  • Partner with the President to achieve strategic goals related to financial stability, external relations, and institutional visibility.
  • Promote a diverse and inclusive student-centered community.
  • Employ a collaborative leadership style to effectively manage change.

A Commitment to Innovation

ñ is committed to offering a unique and enriching academic experience. Dr. Keller's leadership will be instrumental in implementing the recently adopted four-credit based model and engaging in broad curricular redesign. This shift will enhance opportunities for experiential, applied, and engaged learning, positioning Aquinas as a model school for student-centered learning practices.

Building on its Dominican and Catholic identity, Aquinas is dedicated to diversity and inclusion. This commitment is evident in its educational offerings, such as the successful teacher education program aimed at increasing teacher diversity and providing training for educators working with English Language Learners.
